Any person resident in the USA or Canada
who arrives in the Cayman Islands directly from the USA or Canada and
who, on landing, can produce a valid US Alien Registration Card may be
permitted to enter and remain without a visa for up to 30 days. A visa
is required by all except the following for a period of up to 30 days:
nationals of Commonwealth countries (except nationals of Cameroon and
Mozambique who do require a visa); nationals of Andorra, Argentina,
Bahrain, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El
Salvador, Guatemala, Iceland, Italy, Israel, Kuwait, Liechtenstein,
Mexico, Monaco, Norway, Oman, Panama, Peru, San Marino, Saudi Arabia,
Switzerland and Venezuela; transit passengers continuing their journey
by the same or first connecting aircraft provided holding onward or
return documentation and not leaving the airport. Note:
Cruise ship passengers do not require visas to enter the Cayman
Islands. |

| System : As
a British Overseas Territory, the Caymans have a Governor who is
appointed by the British monarch. The Governor is responsible for
external affairs, security and defence. He is also Chairman of the
Executive Council comprising three members appointed by the Governor
and four members from the Legislative Assembly, elected by that body
itself. The Legislative Assembly comprises the above three members of
the Executive Council appointed by the Governor and 15 members elected
by universal adult suffrage every four years. |

Scottish and English ancestor's still distinguishing the speech of the
Caymanian people. |
