PASSPORTS: Valid passport required by all except: nationals of Canada holding a birth certificate, baptismal certificate, proof of Canadian citizenship or certificate of naturalisation. nationals of the USA holding an official birth certificate with a raised seal accompanied by photo ID, a certificate of naturalisation or an alien registration card (green card); nationals of Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, holding a National Identity Card. - VISAS: Required by all except the following: nationals of Iceland, Liechtenstein, New Zealand and Switzerland, for stays of up to three months; nationals of any other country for a period of 14 days, as tourists only, provided they have a return or onward ticket, proof of sufficient funds for the length of stay and the necessary documents for returning to their home country. Visas are required by nationals of Afghanistan, Cambodia, China (PR), CIS, Côte d'Ivoire, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Korea (Dem Rep), Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nigeria, Syria and Vietnam.
Climate: Aruba enjoys a dry and sunny climate which is kept pleasant and temperate year-round due to the cooling effects of the trade winds. The average annual temperature is 83 degrees Fahrenheit (27 Celsius), and rainfall amounts to just 17 inches a year, most of which occurs during the months of October, and November. Aruba is located well below the hurricane belt.
System : On January 1, 1986 Aruba achieved internal autonomy, separating it administratively from the rest of the Netherlands Antilles, although it remains an integral part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Aruba is a separate entity within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, with a Governor appointed by the Dutch monarch, a 21-member parliament, or Staten, directly elected for a four-year term, and a Council of Ministers.
