| Climate: Brunei Darussalam has an equatorial
climate characterized by a uniform high temperature, high humidity and
heavy rainfall. Temperatures range from 23 - 32 Degree Celsius, while
rainfall varies from 2,500 mm annually on the coast to 7,500 mm in the
interior. There is no distinct wet season. |

Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Liechtenstein, Maldives, Norway, Philippines,
Switzerland and Thailand for up to 14 days; nationals of Malaysia, New
Zealand, and Singapore for touristic stays of up to 30 days; nationals
of Australia, are advised to obtain visas before arrival although it
may be possible to obtain one at Brunei International Airport for a
stay of maximum 14 days (a visa is required for longer stays). Restricted
entry: Nationals of Israel and Korea (DPR) may not be
granted entry to Brunei. |

| System : Brunei is
an independent sovereign Sultanate which is governed on the basis of a
written Constitution. - His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah
Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei
Darussalam, is the 29th of his line, which dates back to the
fourteenth century. His Majesty the Sultan was crowned on 1st August
1968 in pomp and pageantry befitting Brunei's ancient customs and
traditions. |

| Religions : Islam is the official
religion of Brunei Darussalam as stated in the Brunei Constitution,
with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan as the head of the
Islamic faith in the country. Thus Islam plays a central role in the
life of every Muslim in Brunei Darussalam. Other faiths practiced in
the State include Christianity and Buddhism. |
