Surface : 245.860 Kmq. (94,926 square miles)....Guinea is located in the western part of Africa. It's bordered in the west by the Atlantic Ocean, in the north by the countries of Senegal and Guinea Bissau, in the east by Mali and Cote d'Ivoire in the south by Liberia and Sierra Leone. It stretches from latitudes 7 degrees north to 13 degrees north, and longitude 8 degrees west to 15 degrees west.

Climate: The climate is tropical but relatively mild for the latitude. Climatic differences between various parts of the country are affected by the sun's journey north or south of the equator and the corresponding position of the intertropical convergence \one, the boundary between the moist southwesterly winds and the dry northeasterly winds. Except in the north, there are two rainy seasons, from April to June and from September to November. In the north squalls occur in March and April, followed by occasional rain until August and September, when the rainfall reaches its peak. Temperatures range between 21°C and 32°C (70°F - 90°F), relative humidity between 50% and 80%. Rainfall ranges from 30 to 80 inches a year.

Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended departure date.On visa application you may be asked to show you have sufficient funds to support your stay and an onward ticket. If you are travelling overland be sure to state this on your application.
